Cafeteria and Community Center Open House May 3, 2012

The Open House on Wednesday, May 3, 2012, went very well! Many were invited to see, for the first time, the new Cafeteria and Community Center. Each table was set up with a table-cloth and flowers. Everything was shining and new for the guests to explore all around the cafeteria. As musical entertainment buzzed in the background, one could see the look of amazement on the guests’ faces. Many were grateful for this beautiful addition to our wonderful school. Others were amazed that after all these years of talk of new additions to the school, it had finally happened.  Among the crowd were Bishop Duca and Sister Carol,  many alumni ranging from the 1940s to the 2000s, faculty, friends and family of Loyola. Thanks to the many who took part in making this wonderful event happen. Loyola is grateful for your time and support!

April 10, 2012: KEEP OFF GRASS!

Soon the students will have a new place for outside dining, other than the compound. The covered dining patio is being worked on, just in time for this enjoyable weather. I love the little Snoopy KEEP OFF GRASS signs! The cafeteria looks great and all the little things around it are coming together nicely.

April 3, 2012: Grab your Tray, It’s Time to Pray, The Cafeteria Opens for Lunch Today!

The day has come, and the students are ecstatic! Tuesday, April 3, 2012 was officially the first day for the students to dine in the new cafeteria. Smiling with excitement the seniors began to stake out their spots and claim their territory. As all the students began to line up and file in, all were filled with joy and excitement about the new facility. The lines were long, but moved very quickly. Things ran smoothly as the students transitioned into the new procedures for the cafeteria. All the students were fed before the half bell for lunch had rang. After dining the students still had time to visit with their friends in the compound just as so many students have done in the past.

A BIG Thanks to all of those who have helped make this campaign happen. With your continued support, present and future students will be able to continue to enjoy new facilities.  We are hoping to continue bettering Loyola, the place we all feel at home!
